Rain! Rain! Rain! last night + lightening and thunder. Today, air is clean and fresh!

Destination: Parque Arví
Parque Arví is a 40,000 acres nature preserve high above the sprawling metropolis of Medellín.

To get there, we walked 20 minutes to the closest metro station (El Poblado) to take Linea A to the Acevedo stop (8 stops north).
Cost: COP $2400/pp (=less than $1USD each).

There we transferred to the Linea K metro-cable - a teleférico that climbs 3 stops to the Santo Domingo barrio.

Once at the Santo Domingo station, we purchased our tickets for the Linea L metro-cable up to Parque Arví (COP $5550 = $2/pp).

The 23 minute ride on the metro-cable Linea L was well worth the price! We climbed up-up-up over the favelas (ghetto) and then over the bosque (forest).

At Parque Arví, we somehow (via "Guess-and-Go") ended up on the Sendero La Flora (Floral Path).

To feel the earth one must embrace it. It is felt in the trees, feeling the rain, listening to the birds, smelling the forest, touching the fog. Feel the earth come alive embracing this pine, close your eyes and breathe deeply.

Uchuvas (gooseberries), morras (blackberries) and fresas (strawberries)
